The New Year - 2013

According to the Bible officially the New Year began at sunset, Monday, December 31, 2012. For the "real" world it began at midnight, Monday, December 31, 2012. Well, regardless of its commencement, the New Year is here and it will continue to roll regardless of what we do.

A popular thing that is practised is the making of resolutions for the New Year. How many of us are so bent on making resolutions every year and within weeks abandon them?  I want to suggest that we resolve to make Jesus the CHIEF in our lives -- accept Him today. As the song says "Jesus is the answer for the world today" and " Jesus never fails".

My friends, Jesus can make the difference in our lives -- why not trust Him today -- surrender to Him today while there is still life. Take Jesus with you everywhere you go , let Him be your guide from this day onward.
Hebrews 13:5 says, "... I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Isaiah 43:2 says, " When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee."

I want all of us that read this post to realize that Jesus wants to be your Redeemer, Friend, Saviour, our panacea. Will you give Him a chance? Personally, I have found that when things are not going well, I can trust Him to work out everything for my good. I am not saying that I only love Him to deliver me in the bad times, but that I will trust Him whether things are good, bad or in between. -- He is the Author and Finisher of my faith, Hebrews 11:2.
