Hope during COVID-19

No one thought that we would be facing a pandemic of such magnitude at this time. To date, over 1 196 272 persons have died from this terrible virus.  By now, those  of us who believe in the Bible realize that as time progresses, we will see a significant increase in the "signs of the time" - Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. Based on the Scriptures, these things are the results of sin which have invaded our planet  - Genesis 3.

Is there no hope for us in the 21st century? Titus 2:13 -14 states " Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works."

The Bible gives us hope which is facilitated through the Holy Spirit , who Jesus sent to us when He left and returned to Heaven - " But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you - John 14:26

The Holy Scriptures teach that we will one day get rid of this pandemic, sin, which has caused havoc in our lives since the fall( entrance of sin into the world/planet earth - Genesis 3)   One day we will be free from sin, death, sicknesses.  Jesus our Creator, came to earth and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice to enable our access to eternal life.

We are invited to accept Jesus into our lives and pave the way for us to live eventually a sinless, happy, blissful life when Jesus comes back again to the earth as King of kings and Lord of lords.  Let us become acquainted with His words via the Bible and start the journey to eternal bliss and total healing when he shall return for His faithful people.

For those who want to become acquainted with the "Hope Giver" enroll in Bible study at

The experience will be rewarding.  "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also" - John 14:1-3.

Giving Thanks

Today, Thursday, November 22, 2018 is our Thanksgiving Day. A time when many family members come together  to eat, talk, and in essence enjoy the day. Quite a number will not be going back to work until Monday - they are enjoying an extended weekend.

There are many also who do not have family per say to gather with - some are at homeless shelters - Thanks to the volunteers who take time to provide a meal for them.

In the spiritual sense we ought to give thanks to our Creator, Saviour, and Redeemer, Who went to Calvary for us all. The Psalmist states, Psalm 150,
"Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord."

Let us all remember to always thank Our Lord for everything. Many times we do a lot of asking/petitioning but forget to give thanks upon receipt of our answered prayers.

I hope your Thanksgiving was safe, peaceful, blessed, relaxing, and enjoyable. Remember as  the singer says "Give thanks with a grateful heart. Give thanks to the Holy One.

Blessings!

Greetings

It has been quite awhile since I last blogged. I want to wish everyone God's richest blessings for 2015 as we submit to His will. We are asked to" Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Have we been doing this? Let us ask for His guidance as we proceed today.
Amen

The First Six Month Has Passed

The first six months have passed and we have started the last half of 2014. As we reflect on the last six months, what has changed for the worst; what has changed for the best? I am sure there were challenges, there were possibly agonies and defeats but there were victories.

Another six months to go and what can we expect? We are not sure but God has promised to be our fortress and guide. "Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid" ( John 14). "The Lord is my light and salvation, whom shall I fear" (Psalm 27).

It is with hope in the Lord that I face another day. Tomorrow is Independence Day! What are our plans for the day? I hope that whatever they are that we will firstly, give God thanks for allowing us another opportunity in seeing another Independence Day. I pray that we will take Him through the day with us and end the day with Him. I also hope we will daily start the day with Him; carry Him with us through the day; and end the day with Him.

Let God always be our guide regardless of our circumstance. Let us give Him the glory, the honor, and the praise.

Happy Independence Day when it comes!

The Signs

We are told that we should pray that our flight not be in the winter( Matthew 24:20). So far in  2014, we in MN and adjoining states are realizing more and more what it would feel like, to be fleeing in these frigid temperatures. However, we know from the Scripture that God promises to supply all that we need. In the time for Martin Luther and others it was evident that Providence took care of His people. Regardless, of the situations that present themselves, we still have this assurance.

CNN has been highlighting the inclement weather in Alabama, Atlanta and other areas in the South - where it has been chaotic for many living in these area - wintry blasts, ice etc. We will also note that weather worldwide has been unprecedented/extraordinary. These are undoubtedly signs of the time noted in the Scripture - it appears that this is just the tip of the iceberg, sadly worse is yet in the offing. We have to brace ourselves for the worst. However, God is still on the throne and will take care of us through thick and thin.

Let us keep our eyes upon the prize. Let us lay up for ourselves treasure in heaven and not focus on earthly riches which will pass away ( Matthew 6:19-21). Let us be hardy soldiers of the cross and do as God asks, " to do justly, and to love mercy, and walk humbly with thy God," Micah 6:8. Let us meditate on
1 Corinthians 2:9, "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."  - the best is yet to come - eternal life - what a day of victory that will be!

Be blessed!
